Actor and country-pop singer and song writer Jana Kramer rose to fame on television where she joined the crew on One Tree Hill as Alex during its last three seasons. Her first few releases as a country artist appeared on the episodes of the series, helping her 2012 eponymous debut album into the Top 20 on the Billboard 200. Thirty One by 2015 was her follow-up album and reached the top of the charts at number ten. The last decade saw she starred on Dancing with the Stars as well in TV movies and several TV programs. Kramer was in 90210 as Portia Randson in 2008 through 2009 and Brooke Manning as Entourage's Brooke Manning before joining One Tree Hill on the CW as Alex Dupre. The actress signed a contract to Elektra Records during this time and released the country-rock song "I I Won't Let You Go" on the show's episode. The track debuted in mid-2012 and was featured on her debut complete album Jana Kramer. This song landed in the Top Country Albums of Billboard's chart within the Top Five. In order to reach her large fan base, Kramer continued acting in films such Heart of the Country 2013 and Country Crush 2016. Kramer has released her second album of her own, Thirty One in collaboration with Warner Music Nashville, in October of 2015. The Top Five Country Hit I Got the Boy, and The Duet Steven Tyler and Aerosmith performed with helped the album to reach third place at the top of the Billboard 200 and number 10 on the chart for country albums. Starting in September of 2016, her two-month stint on the 23rd series of Dancing with the Stars ended in a fourth-place finish. This was also the season that she got a huge adult contemporary smash, courtesy of her song Feels Just Like Christmas with Straight No Chaser.
